Culinary Arts intern, The Broadmoor
The Broadmoor is seeking a Culinary Arts student from AUT to join their world-class kitchens in Colorado Springs. The successful intern would work in a team with Bertrand Bouquin, executive chef at The BROADMOOR. He is a world-class culinary talent who has cooked alongside some of the world’s leading chefs. The Broadmoor is seeking applicants with the highest standard of food production to help prepare cold dishes.
The BROADMOOR is a Five-Star Resort in Colorado Springs characterised by impeccable service and distinctive amenities. It is the longest-running consecutive winner of both the AAA Five-Diamond and Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star awards. Since first opening in 1918, it has offered guests a unique way to experience the beauty of the American West, through day spa, restaurants (including the only Five-Star, Five-Diamond restaurant in Colorado, Penrose Room), 54 holes of championship golf, six tennis courts, indoor/outdoor pools, distinctive retail shops, 185,000 square feet of meeting space, specialty tours, activities and programs for guests of all ages and interests.
WORK WILL INCLUDE:
- Preparing and presenting menu items
- Preparing salads, appetizers, sandwich fillings, and other cold dishes
- Following direction of the Executive Chef, Chef de Cuisine and/or Sous Chefs in maintaining the highest standards of food quality, taste and production
- Assisting with mass production of Banquets/Restaurant orders
SUITED TO CANDIDATES GRADUATING WITH:
Bachelor of Arts majoring in Culinary Arts.
Diploma of Culinary Arts.
PREFERRED DATES:
6 Months - 1 year, starting March/April 2018.

- Scholarships will cover airfares to and from Colorado Springs, a 1-year US visa, initial accommodation allowance, and all administration costs and travel and health insurance
- The successful recipient of the scholarship to The Broadmoor will be paid in market by The Broadmoor
